Everyone Matters
Everyone matters to God, so everyone matters to us. We make room for every person to be seen, valued, and loved. We know Heaven is marvelously diverse and truly unified in Christ. We aim to embody this heavenly reality.
Spirit & Word
We are a community shaped by the Truth of Scripture and the Presence of the Holy Spirit. We value God's sacred Truth that transforms, and the Holy Spirit's guiding Presence that empowers.
Living as Light
To 'live as light' means letting the love of Jesus shine through our everyday lives. Wherever we go, we carry His hope. We want to see His Kingdom light up our neighborhoods, our workplaces, and our relationships until every dark place is touched by His love.
Generosity
We live generously because God is generous. For us, generosity is way more than giving. Generosity is seeing opportunities to bless and jumping in with both feet. You'll hear us say it often, "Join us in the adventure of generosity." We believe wholeheartedly that it truly is better to give than to receive. We want the world to experience His goodness through our generosity.
Honesty
We walk in honesty because healing and freedom begin with the truth. We value honesty and the peace that always accompanies it. We know that God is faithful and kind to meet us where we really are... not where we pretend to be. So we make it a point to be real, and enjoy God's good work in us in the process.
Listening
We choose to listen because we love to learn. We listen to God in prayer. We listen to His Wisdom in Scripture. We listen to one another with curiosity and love. Listening is how we honor God’s presence and each person’s story.

At Vineyard Church Baton Rouge, we stand firmly within the Christian faith.
We’re rooted in the rich traditions of the Church and guided by the major creeds that have shaped believers for centuries including the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Chalcedonian Creed.
Out of loyalty to Christ and His gospel, we hold to clear convictions based on the Truth of Scripture. We are a 'center-set' church, not a 'bounded-set' church. A bounded-set church holds tightly to a predetermined set of beliefs and doctrines. Membership and participation in a bounded-set church typically hinges on its members owning those same beliefs and doctrines. A center-set church, on the other hand, welcomes all those who seek Christ.
